About EV Parts

A specialist workshop for the high-voltage side of the car.

We remanufacture the high-voltage units that dealers usually only replace: traction batteries, e-motors, inverters, OBCs, e-compressors, PTC heaters and EPS racks. Each one is stripped to component level, rebuilt with new wear parts and validated on the bench before it goes back in a vehicle.

Every unit leaves with an end-of-line test report and a warranty, so the workshop fitting it knows exactly what it's getting.

Three ways to work with us

Rebuild your unit, take an exchange unit, or have it fitted.

Option 1

Recondition your unit

Send us the failed unit. We diagnose it on the bench, quote you, then rebuild it with new wear parts and put it through a full end-of-line test before it goes back.

  • Your original unit comes back, with its own part and serial numbers
  • Fixed quote after bench diagnosis, before any work starts
  • A fraction of the OEM list price
Option 2

Order a reconditioned exchange unit

When the vehicle can't stand, fit a remanufactured unit from our stock and send your failed unit back to us as the core.

  • Minimal vehicle-off-road time
  • Matched to your OEM part number
  • Core credit once your old unit is received and graded
Option 3 · EV Doctor

Supply & fit

Bring the vehicle to EV Doctor. We diagnose the fault, supply the remanufactured part and fit it, so one team owns the job from start to finish.

  • Diagnosis before any part is ordered
  • Fitment, coding and road test included
  • One warranty covering part and fitment

Repair & fitment

We don't just supply the part. We fit it.

EV Doctor is the hands-on side of EV Parts. Bring the vehicle in and our EV-trained technicians find the fault, swap the unit for a rebuilt one and hand it back tested, so you deal with one team from diagnosis to drive-away.

  • EV diagnosticsFault-code reading, isolation testing and battery health checks to pinpoint the failed unit.
  • Removal & fitmentSafe high-voltage isolation, unit removal and fitment of your reconditioned or exchange part.
  • Coolant, coding & calibrationCoolant refill and bleed, plus coding and calibration so the vehicle accepts the unit.
  • Road test & sign-offEvery job is road-tested and handed back with a fitment record alongside the part warranty.
What we recondition

Know the part, know why it failed.

Most high-voltage failures come down to one component inside the unit: a DC-link capacitor, a bearing, a resolver, a weak cell module. Replace that, along with everything else that has aged, and the unit is good for another life. Pick a part to see the common failure modes and how we fix them.

The remanufacturing process

Rebuilt to a standard, not patched up.

A repair fixes the one thing that failed. Remanufacturing strips the unit to component level, replaces every wear and age-related part, and validates it on an end-of-line test bench. That's the difference between a comeback in six months and a unit you fit and forget.

Every unit goes through the same seven stages, whatever the part.

  1. Intake & identification

We log the unit against the vehicle, part number and the fault you reported, and record the core's condition before anything is opened.

Part number · VIN · reported fault · visual damage · core grade
  2. Pre-test & diagnosis

The unit is tested before teardown, so we confirm the real fault instead of guessing. Fault codes from the vehicle are compared with what we see on the bench.

Insulation resistance · continuity · function test · fault code review
  3. Teardown & cleaning

Complete disassembly. Housings, heat sinks and coolant passages are cleaned of old oil, coolant residue, corrosion and dirt.

Strip to component level · degrease · coolant passages flushed · corrosion treated
  4. Component-level inspection

Every part is measured and checked against spec. Anything worn, aged or out of tolerance is marked for replacement, not just the part that failed.

    Bearings · seals · capacitors · power modules · sensors · windings · connectors
  5. Rebuild with new wear parts

Seals, gaskets, bearings and known failure items are always replaced. Electronics are repaired at board level, and power stages are reassembled with fresh thermal interface material.

    New seals & bearings · board-level repair · thermal paste & pads · correct oils & torque
  6. End-of-line testing

The finished unit is tested under realistic load, and has to pass before it can be signed off. Results are recorded against the unit.

Insulation & hipot · leak/pressure test · load & temperature · communication with the vehicle
  7. Sign-off & dispatch

Sealed, labelled and packed to protect connectors and coolant ports, and sent with its test record and warranty.

Test record · warranty label · protected ports · courier or collection

Who we work with

Built for the people who keep EVs on the road.

OEM high-voltage parts are expensive and often on back-order for weeks. A remanufactured unit gets the vehicle back on the road sooner, at a fraction of the price.

Workshops & dealers

You do the R&R, we rebuild the unit. It comes back tested to OEM spec with an end-of-line report, so you fit it once and don't see the car back as a comeback.

Fleet operators

Cut vehicle-off-road (VOR) time. Fit an exchange unit from our stock, send back the core, and the vehicle is back earning.

Insurers & assessors

A damaged inverter or battery pack can make a claim uneconomical to repair. A remanufactured unit costs far less than new OEM, which keeps more vehicles out of the total-loss column.

EV & hybrid owners

Out of warranty and quoted for a new OEM part? Get a recon price from us first, and let EV Doctor fit it. Same unit, rebuilt and bench-tested, for a fraction of the cost.
